The School of Life was the best I ever attended. In its big lab, I spent years trying things and assessing the results. The outcome is wisdom. The natural world inspires me and I go happily for long walks in the countryside. Nature connects us to our inner self, our true personality. Stagnation is death. Change is growth, so I embrace it! To receive, I give first. There are several ways to achieve a goal. I walk the talk and I expect the same from you. Life challenges make us stronger.
Your life is unique, so better make the most of it. Sadly, most people sleepwalk their lives.
Step by step, I support your journey to train your mind to Mindfulness, reconnecting with your true self to live fully in the present moment. You will...
Learn to accept present circumstances, connect with your values and take action to make changes.
Be empowered to turn obstacles and hardships into opportunities to grow, through the practice of gratitude and following your heart.
Be encouraged and guided to observe daily what's going on inside and outside your body without any judgement and focus on your breath. You will then cut off the flow of critical thoughts that keep you in a paralysing fear.
Mindfulness reduces stress and anxiety and in the 1970s, Prof. John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts developed Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction. His research led to the eight-week program to which I refer while coaching. Steven Hayes's Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) also inspires me.
I've been on the journey myself and Mindfulness has helped me gain clarity and direction in life.
My coaching goes beyond stress management which aims at coping with stress through breathing exercises, writing down your feelings... I aim at real stress relief and it implies getting to the roots of your stress. Through deep listening and asking the right questions, I'll guide you to
Discover the beliefs which might stop you from moving on, keeping you trapped in anxiety. Unhelpful beliefs often produce guilt and other negative emotions, destroying your social confidence.
Let's call my client 'Flora'. When she contacted me, Flora told me that she experienced financial hardship and broken relationships and had suffered from depression. I wanted to know about her earlier life. Flora was brought up in a conservative and well-off family. She is a single child whose every need was cared for. Flora wasn't trained in handling money because she was a girl. Girls weren't supposed to get married and their husbands should provide. To cut a long story short, Flora lost the money she inherited from her parents through poor investment and overspending. As a result, Flora felt guilty which fuelled the depression she experienced from a young age. Flora realised that she blindly followed family values, not her personal values of studying and building a successful career of her own. Since she became aware of the underlying cultural and family beliefs that influenced her destiny, Flora's guilt has lifted and she can move on with her life. Her energy is now focused on rebuilding her life.
Adopt new beliefs, update unhelpful ones and connect with your values. Once you are in touch with your values, you feel naturally confident in any situation. Values provide direction. Living in accordance with your personal values increases your motivation.
I work with you to devise affirmations specific to your needs that you can play in the background on your PC. These affirmations are extra support to make faster changes in your life.
